Mitch Janzen

Ministries Director

Mitch has been involved with YFC since his days being ‘knit together in the womb. “I thought everyone worked with YFC,” is what he says about childhood, since his parents were missionaries with YFC. In 1996, Mitch graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's Degree in Youth Ministry and Psychology. Mitch & Shari were married November 22, 1996. He began ministry with YFC the same year working under his dad's leadership. Darrell remembers searching for staff for the position, refraining from bringing up a family name. That's when Mick Isbell leaned across the board table realizing Mitch was available and said to Darrell, "If he's available, the board will interview him and hire him. You work with him!" With all doubts removed, God has blessed and priveledged Darrell and Mitch to work together ever since.

Taking the baton from other CCYFC staff including his own father, Mitch has proliferated HomeFront Missions locally. This turned into an invitation to join National Leadership Teams in the early 2000's and serve to see HomeFront Missions become a YFC/USA National Ministry called YFC Core™ as of 2014. In his free time, Mitch enjoys anything with his family or friends, being outdoors and an old, old Ford Bronco.

“My favorite experience in ministry is to see a HomeFront Missions Team member realize they ‘can’ do something Jesus asked them to do and then go do it. It makes my day to coach students in being Jesus’ hands, feet, smile or hug.”
